Shabby chic style

Shabby chic style has been popular for a while now, you can see why with its calming colours and natural materials.

This is an easy style to decorate with and just about anything goes as long as you love it!

The scheme revolves around pale backgrounds but colour can be added with pastels and pales.

What to do with empty frames

Have some spare empty frames in storage, instead of hiding them lean them against the wall as a display or put them on the wall.

Frames are artwork themselves even without a picture in them.

Don't have fancy frames, just simply paint plain ones to create an eye catching display.

Have you been to Chatsworth?

The House Style Exhibition at Chatsworth is well worth a visit.

I love visiting Chatsworth House, the wallpapers and furnishings are just beautiful!

Elegant, fabrics, textures and colours.

There is a green theme running through the house which is in favour with Pantone's colour of the year.
