The House of Dior

I recently visited The House of Dior at New Bond Street, London.

This room display stood out to me with the beautiful pink wallpaper
with bee motif.

The grey, white and pink colour scheme is just so elegant.

Grey is a colour which runs all through the House of Dior from art
sculptures, flooring to furniture.

It's worth a look just at the decor in here and the icing on the cake
are the products to purchase!

Autumn colour inspiration

I'm building up my inspiration board this week with Autumn in mind.

Golds, mustards, greens and grey all look great together.

I love different textures and have included silk and velvet fabrics.

William Morris has so many different prints but I love the colour
of this pattern Acanthus wallpaper.

How to tidy up your book shelves

Got messy book shelves?

Don't know how to style them?

After a de-clutter, start with everything off the shelves and on the floor.

It's much easier to put things back onto the shelves and edit again as you go.

Don't forget you can display other items with your books, including frames, sculptures pots, photos, flowers ......

If you have lots of books try putting them in colour order, but only do this once throughout the house.

Even office shelves can have an edit and a make over!

If you love a certain wallpaper you can even cover the back of your book shelves for extra interest, especially if you intend using it as a pure display area so the paper shows through.

Want to show off your bookshelves?

How to use your decorating planner

My decorating planner is great for starting any project, a place to keep all samples and information together.

If you have purchased the Decorating Planner from my website, once printed out you can put the pages into either an A4 ring binder with plastic pockets or a document folder, using the pockets to store samples.

You can also print extra pages off if you need more for certain sections.

It can also be printed off every time you start a new project and will become your go to place to store ideas and inspiration for new projects.

Have you been to Chatsworth?

The House Style Exhibition at Chatsworth is well worth a visit.

I love visiting Chatsworth House, the wallpapers and furnishings are just beautiful!

Elegant, fabrics, textures and colours.

There is a green theme running through the house which is in favour with Pantone's colour of the year.

London Design Week

I've had a fantastic time at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour for London Design week.

It was great to be somewhere so special with so much under one (3 domed) roof.

I loved the paint and fabric displays and spent several hours pouring over different fabrics and wallpapers choosing samples.

The 3 domes had a different feel but were so full of character.

Love this wall of trimmings.

Coolest cowboy I've ever seen demonstrating his mattress making skills.

There was so much inspiration here, loved my visit!
