Colour inspiration for your home

There is always an opportunity for colour inspiration while out and about.

Shopping in Liberty recently I noticed these balls of wool on display.

The colours are perfect for Autumn/Winter decor in your home.

You may already have some colours in your home but had not thought
about putting another colour with your scheme.

Inspiration is everywhere.

Where do you find your colour inspiration?

The House of Dior

I recently visited The House of Dior at New Bond Street, London.

This room display stood out to me with the beautiful pink wallpaper
with bee motif.

The grey, white and pink colour scheme is just so elegant.

Grey is a colour which runs all through the House of Dior from art
sculptures, flooring to furniture.

It's worth a look just at the decor in here and the icing on the cake
are the products to purchase!

Fantastic floorings

I've recently been looking at floorings for my own home.

I visited House of Fraser for something else and noticed their
great range of carpets so needed to explore!

I noticed this tartan design which really stood out to me.

I also love stripes, especially for the stairs.

House of Fraser also sell laminate flooring, which I didn't realise.

I'm still considering my options for the stairs, stripe, tartan, plain, a runner .......

Light fantastic!

Out shopping this week I noticed this gorgeous chandelier.

I love how some of the shades aren't straight and some bulbs are out.

Students who have already completed the course love it!

"Module 2 provides a plethora of inspiration on how to use colour, how colour works with itself, and how it works with light. It’s fascinating and informative, and will be a big help when planning future projects! The quiz part of the module was great fun, and showed me easily what I needed to study more!"

"Module 3 was really helpful in getting me to plan my projects and stick to a budget! The budget planners provided in the course materials were extremely helpful, and working out how I can creatively reuse what I already have to reduce the spending was a revelation - my bank account will thank me!"

"Module 4 was fascinating, seeing my ideas come to life on paper and then with the online room planner, and being able to see which ideas work and which don't was extremely helpful!"

Who is the hero in your house?

Have you got a hero piece of furniture in your home?

A great statement piece is your headboard.

You can go as large as you want, adding colour, texture or pattern.

Have you seen this colour app?

I came across this app and have been playing with it this week.

The Valspar Colour Wand app has an inspire button
which is great if you are looking for ideas.

You can save the images and then you are provided with the exact
colour code for the valspar paint you need to achieve the palette colours.

The app is free, download to your phone and create a free account.

Bedroom update

I love velvet at this time of year.

I've updated the white bedroom with grey stripe bed
linen and velvet cushions and throw.

These gorgeous blue cushions are from H & M.

The pink blush cushion is from Cox and Cox.

A perfect place to snuggle up in to read when the
weather turns cold outside.
